DBWC doubles up at the AADC Awards

21/4/08 DBWC took home two finalist awards in the recent Adelaide Advertising & Design Club Awards held at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Both for direct mail pieces, one was a series of postcards produced for the Direct Mail Centre, and the second was for our 'briefs' that were sent out to existing and potential new clients. A great night was had and a pleasing result to once again see good work and great ideas recognised by our industry.

Another annual report success

20/4/08 2008 has seen DBWC produce Annual Reports for St John, the RFDS and now just completed, the ACPFG. This is the fifth annual report we have produced for the ACPFG with each one branching out into greater design. Annual reports have become a DBWC specialty.

DBWC at the PICA's

19/9/07 At the Printing Industries Craftmanship Awards for 2007, DBWC walked away with a Gold PICA for the design of the DBWC/Solito's Fine Colour Printers 2007 Calendar. Printed using multiple colours, foils & embossing and featuring hand chosen photography from Craig Ingram Nature Photography, the 12 month calendar depicts some of Australia's most beautiful birdlife. It was fantastic to see the project recognised as some of the finest printing in South Australia & the Northern Territory for 2006/2007.

Buoyant times for Deep Blue Water

3/9/07 Deep Blue Water Communication has added another piece of business to it's growing portfolio with the "Mitcham Square" account. Jay Wheeler, Director at DBWC says "Mitcham Square is an excellent account to be working with both creatively and strategically, mixing traditional brand advertising with fast, reactive retail."

InSkill SA Accreditation

1/8/07 DBWC has successfully received "Industry Skilling South Australians for Employment" accreditation. InSkill SA registration recognises business that demonstrate a commitment to employment and training within their industry.

AADC Mentors

28/7/07 DBWC have again joined the Adelaide Advertising & Design Club's Mentor Programme by agreeing to mentor two young design students for 2007.

Rachel Bullen and Loren Whitehead will attend various meetings and mentor sessions to give them a greater understanding of the advertising/design industry. The program will allow DBWC to grow them in their presentation skills, their professional books and overall ideas.
